DIANA'S STORY Thanks CMC for an Outstanding Job
The purpose of this letter is to convey my thanks
(belatedly) to you and others at Carolinas Medical Center for outstanding job
that was done by the emergency staff and doctors in giving me back my life. This
is the first anniversary of a stroke I suffered on the morning of June 12, 2003.
At that time I was diagnosed and treated with skill and care by and emergency
team and neurological specialists (Dr. Richard Bellon and Dr. Steve Putman). I
was also well served by the neurological intensive care staff, floor nursing
staff, pulmonology department (Dr. Carl Smart) and the rehabilitation and
physical therapy departments. Since that time I have had a catheterization and
implantation of a stent (Dr. Robert Haber). We are very grateful.
I am doing fine. On this first anniversary, my husband
and I drove to Blowing Rock, North Carolina, to walk through the Art in the Park
exhibit. I walked more than a mile. It was wonderful. I think every day about
the people who worked so hard to help me and hope you can find a way to pass
along my heartfelt appreciation.
With sincere gratitude, Diana S. Bagwell
