School of Nurse Anesthesia
Carolinas Medical Center and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) offer a program for registered nurses with a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing to become professional nurse anesthetists. Students who complete the program graduate with a Master of Science in Nursing and eligibility to sit for the National Certification Examination of Nurse Anesthetists.
