Pediatrics

The Department of Pediatrics at Carolinas Medical Center and Levine Children's Hospital offers a fully accredited three-year training program. There are 12 available first-year positions for the 2009-2010 academic year. Successful completion of the program qualifies residents to take the examination for certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Our goal is to assist residents in becoming competent, confident and caring pediatricians who are ready to provide the children of their community with the highest level of patient care. Many of our residents choose a subspecialty career, but we believe it's imperative that they become well-rounded pediatricians first.
