CMC's Comprehensive Stroke Center is Joint Commission certified as a Primary Stroke Center and is designated as a national Stroke Center of Excellence by NeuStrategy, both nationally recognized designations for clinical excellence. CMC's Stroke Program recently received the Silver Level AHA Performance Achievement Award, which demonstrates its commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of patient care.

The Stroke Center offers effective protocols for rapid treatment and management of stroke and cerebrovascular disease. Our center provides a comprehensive, team-oriented approach to patient care that includes physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, a social worker, counseling for depression/anxiety, a dietitian and an exercise consultant.

Our multidisciplinary approach to patient care integrates all services, allowing us to provide each individual with a care plan tailored to their specific needs. The Stroke Center also offers 24-7 emergency capabilities including interventional therapies and tissue plasminogen activator.
