A Regional Advisory
Committee (RAC) is a legislative group representing trauma care providers and
the community, affiliated with a Level One or Two trauma center. It
provides regional planning, development, implementation and evaluation of a
coordinated trauma system.
A hospital may choose to join
more than one RAC; if so, however, that hospital is required to desgnate a
primary RAC.
Mission Statement The Metrolina Trauma Advisory Committee (M-TAC)
promotes optimal trauma care in the Southern Piedmont region of North Carolina
by reducing trauma related morbidity and mortality through the development,
implementation and evaluation of a regional trauma systems plan.
